Intestines?
It looks like a tribal tattoo and a celtic knot tattoo had an angsty, ugly baby.
Leopard print made out of snakes?
It looks to me like one of those tats that’s meant to resemble some different kind of skin covering, like the folks who have the superhero costumes tattooed on themselves.
Looks like a tat of a tapeworm to me…
Or stripey instestines perhaps?
