I must say, that’s a very well done tattoo. Not a wreck at all, just an odd choice, perhaps. I’m sure there’s a good story behind this one! Or a weird story.

Comment by Amilie

Yeah, it’s not a disaster, just an unusual thing to get a tattoo of. The shading is great though. You can even see the grain in the wood!

Yeah, I like this tattoo. It’s well-done and random.

Maybe he/she’s a laid back guy/girl?

It’s some signature chair by a famous designer. Thats what my wife said at least.

Possibly the most famous piece of modernist furniture made. Very cool tat for anyone design minded.

Comment by chudgoo

I love that someone going by ‘lolwut’ is the ONLY person who gets it!

This is fucking fantastic chair. I sat in one at a nuclear facility lounge area and thought enough of it to flip the thing over to read the tags on the bottom. I knew I had to have one… until I realized they were $4000+ depending on condition.

In tattoo form it’s fuckin funny and I love it. In chair form, simply the best designed piece of furniture of all time.

No, people: nicely-rendered as this is, it’s just stupid.

Comment by Hater

It’s done by Nick Baxter it’s beautifully done, yes it may be an odd choice of tattoo, but its more creative than a playboy bunny or some other crap. Doesn’t belong here

Comment by Metalnoir

I’ll agree that Playboy bunnies or other typical subjects are stupid; but I’d go further and say that 95% of tattoos are dumb ideas, and this is one of them.

To an industrial designer, this is a BEAUTIFUL tat.

I have this chair, it’s my pride and joy. the creators of this site have just exposed themselves as uncultured philistines. or retards, this is the net after all :/

I am a Tattoo Artist and i love this piece. Well done, and original and creative. as an artist id much rather do this versus more old english lettering, or boring tribal!
just my opinion!

I’ll second that, I love when people bring me the most random and odd ideas for their tattoos. real fans of the art get work that best expresses who they are. and a well thought out peice is one that you know will give you pleasure to view for the rest of ur life. thats clearly what this person did. and if one of u hating little shits calls me an idiot i will hunt u down and end u

Ah Eames! This is a fantastically well shaded tattoo and by no means belongs on this site. As an interior designer I love it.

Gives a whole new meaning to the word “arm-chair”

The designer was good, the idea bad.
